Shriya (D-)

These days Shriya sure is making many public appearances. But seems she still hasn't grasped the importance of style in order to make an impact.

I have never seen her look so downright bimbo-ish and cheap. I mean c'mon honey, you don't need to flaunt your assets in everybody's face to be popular! There is a classy way to be sexy and that can never be achieved as long as you continue on the same horrible color palette. Also, haven't we had enough of your jeweled bust line dresses? We told you last time, they are never going to work, so please, chuck them all out.

Although I like her earrings, her shoes are a horror story. They complete this fugly look perfectly.

Compared to her disastrous attempt, I love the other girl's style. The empire-waist dress and the color combination is to die for. Even her accessories match perfectly (although I wish her clutch was a tad smaller). Still, it is a million times better than what Shriya wore.

I wonder when and where did she lose all her fashion sense!

Shriya (B-)

Plain in Plaid. Now, thats unusual.

Usually, the Scottish attire can hardly be termed as plain, but sadly that is just what Shriya is looking here. There is nothing essentially wrong with this dress, but still it doesn't quite click. I'm thinking it's the same patterned belt. Had it been a solid big black belt, it would have added some definition to the look and provide the much needed contrast.

Also, her shoes are downright hideous! The bulky straps don't go with the look at all! But I must say, this is a huge improvement from last time. At least she's tried something different this time.

Shriya - South Filmfare Awards 2008 (D-)

You would think now that she is readying herself to become a part of Bollywood and Hollywood, she would be very careful about her dressing since every public appearance matters. But looks like Shriya is on a different plane altogether.

Horrible, horrible choice of color. Had it been two shades lighter, it could have been better but this shade clashes with her skin tone. The fugly designed belt stands out like a sore thumb in the middle of this pinkish mess. Her curls also don't go well with this look. I also loathe her watch and makeup (especially the lipstick!).

Is there anything I like about this look? NO!!!

Shriya (C+)

Well, after sinking to low depths, Shriya seems to have regained some of her original self.

I am in love with the color of the dress. It goes very well with her complexion and is a refreshing change. But, the design on the helm of the dress is absolutely hideous and sadly she has matched her accessories to that!

Also her hair is badly in need of some washing and styling. You must be wondering why I gave her a C+ after such a review...well, once you look at her last few attempts you will know why..lol.

Shriya (D-)

These days Shriya is on fashion downhill and has hit new depths with this fugly outfit. Infact, I dont think it is an outfit at all. Seems like random pieces of clothing were thrown together.

For God sakes who wears velvet in this day and age...not even a normal girl let alone a star. The ugly design and fitting of the top make her look bloated.

One would think that she would pair up such a fugly top with a skirt but no... she went and teamed it up with a pair of blingy cropped pants. I mean WTF? Even harem pants would have been excusable but this is a complete no-no. Also, what is up with the horrible pair of shoes?

Gawd...this look definetly deserves a long term rigourous imprisonment.

Shriya (D+)

Have you heard the phrase 'Too many cooks ruin the dish'? Well here, too many designs ruined the dress.

The designer seems confused whether to make a spaghetti strap dress or a halter neck one. So midway he decided to make both. To say the least, he concoted a disaster. And as if to honor this, he has gift wrapped a ribbon around the dress, choosing a horribly clashing color nonetheless.

Also, Shriya kindles the fire with her horrible makeup. Lady, please keep your lingerie straps in hiding. We don't need to see them. Its unclassy and downright unsightly. You are a movie star! Buckle Up!!!

But I must say I love the vertical color contrast. It is really sad because this dress could have been so much more...

Shriya - Second Arrest!

It is understandable if actresses like Bhumika commit the repetition offence. But, this coming from one of the fashion pioneers in South is really disheartening.

Here, Shriya has worn the same controversial dress from the Sivaji Movie Function. One would have thought that she must have burnt the dress after all the headache it gave her. But, seems like even though the whole Tamil media has criticised this outfit, Shriya is still hell bent on proving her point.

Well dahling, you might wanna consider choosing some other route to get back at them, coz this way it's only you who's going down on the fashion front.

Shriya (C-)

Shriya is definitely not upto the mark here.

The dress make her legs look very short and awkward. Although I like the color, the dress would be a lot better without the tacky long sheer sleeves.
Also what is up with her accessories. She has used fusion earthen earrings and bracelet which are not at all apt for this look.

But I must say, I am loving her back cut. It is looking very classy and sexy. Unfortunately her horrible sleeves are ruining it.

Choose better next time, Shriya.

Shriya (A-)

This lady seems to be everywhere these days!

Here, her fashion sense is almost impeccable. The form fitting tank top is absolutely great. Thankfully Shriya has a great figure to carry it off. Coming to the skirt, personally, I'm not a fan of crushed material. I think there's something pauper-ish about it but it looks good on her as it matches her look. Her accessories are okay - not too great, not too bad. But she should have worn one chunky bracelet instead of two.

I have given her A- because, although she seems to have done everything, it's not quite there yet. But I must give her credit for making a hippie avatar seem angelic!

Shriya Maxim Magazine Bikini Cover (You Rate)

The magazine cover says “Hollywood has her”. Hmm…I’m not so sure about the having part but Hollywood definetly seems to have taken a toll on her.

It looks like this cover page has been put through the wringers of Photoshop sooo many times that it seems plastic. Nothing about it seems natural, infact, I had to look twice to make sure it was indeed Shriya.

Now, coming to the inner pages of the magazine. She has shown two variations of pink and white combo.
I like the first one. It showcases her curves magnificiently and her li’l white shorts are to-die for. However, her second look makes her look like a bimbo. The ugly printed bustier makes her assets look vulgar. Still, there is a silver lining in the form of the great bracelet.
I am not providing ratings because I want you readers to that. Kindly, in your comments, tell me how much would you rate each of the beach wear.

Shriya at IIFA ( C-, A+ and A+)

Shriya sure has gone a longgg way from the innocent gal of Nuvve Nuvve to the IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) red carpet at Bangkok. It's great to see our stars making their mark in national and international spheres. Now, coming to her look.

The first look is not at all right. I appreciate the color and the earrings but the cut, design and fitting are not at all good. I especially loathe the horrendous design which makes her look like a badly dressed-trying to be glamorous cheap wannabe.
The second look is perfection. There is no other word for it. Just plain perfection. She looks soo classy and beautiful. Her makeup is just amazing and the cut and make of the dress is very sexy yet classy. Now, that's a tough combination to achieve. Her hairstyle is absolutely apt for the look and her earrings are beautiful too. She looks like a Hollywood star!
The third look is also equally fantastic. The dress is soo beautiful I have no words to describe it. Her hairstyle and makeup( highly defined eyes with plain lips) are just perfect for the look and I love her earrings. I especially like her T-shaped strappy sandals. All in all this look makes her look like a goddess!

I know these looks were especially designed only beacause of IIFA but I wish our other stars would take a few tips from them.

Anyway, I have given a C- for the first look and A+ for the second and third looks. The middle one remains my favourite. What about yours???

Shreya at Kanthaswamy/Mallanna Function ( D-)

Okie first list out the stuff you like about the pic...

1. The cut of the dress
2. .........
3. .....
4. ...

Thats all!!! There is nothing more to this FUGLY ( fuckingly ugly) avatar.

1.The material is horrible and is made even worse by the color
2.The shoes are so cheap looking you'd think she bought it off a footpath for 100 bucks
3.The accessories are non existent and non attractive
4. The less that is said about the hairstyle the more we'll be able to keep our vomit down.

All in all a total letdown and washout.

Shreya Sivaji Function ( B+)

Okie I'm gonna start with one of my favorite actresses Shriya Saran. :)

Here is the controversial dress from Sivaji - The Boss 100 days function...

The light colored dress with the slightly darker sash is complemented well with matching dark shoes and bag. Notice that she matched the shoes and bag not to her dress but to her sash color. Very nice!

She added a bit of color through her pink earrings...kudos...and although the choice of footwear is unconventional for a dress (usually sandals are the way to go), they somehow match the dress and keep it together.

All in all full marks to Shreya for making a normally boring dress remarkable :)

P.S :- Although it is a movie function and she is the star we here at Tollywood Fashion Police feel that keeping in mind the age of the guests ( i mean she was the only young thing in a 5 mile radius!!!) she could have opted for a more appropriate dress. Still the whole hue and cry that followed was totally unnecessary...dontcha think???
