Namitha - South Filmfare Awards 2008 (D-)

She's done it again!

As I predicted last time, Namitha has gone ahead and beaten her own standard of fugliness.

What is with her and short-tight-fugly dresses? They seem to share a janam janam ka rishta (a forever bond). Here, she looks like a cross between a ghost gone haywire and a sleazy bar dancer from the 80's. And to think she went like this to the biggest award show in south!!! Jesus! Girl, for the last time, lose some weight or stop wearing these dresses!

She is time and again proving her title of 'The fugliest of our Fashion Suspects'.

I think she needs an F not even a D-.

lol... true but sadly that is the last rank on our rating scale.

I have no problem about the dress (it would only look good if you go out with your friends or going to the clubs), but I hate the fact she wore that dress on a awards night.

I saw some pics of Namitha in that same dress (I forgot the link) and her make-up was terrible.

Hey Emily!

It's so nice to read your comments. You are absolutely right. For clubbing this dress would be quite ok. But to an awards show with thighs like giant pillars!....No way...lol

Her thighs are the ones that are so distracting. XD

I'm just new to this Southern cinema stuff since I'm more in tune with the Bollywood scene so here's my question:

Why is Namitha considered a bomb shell anyway? She doesn't even look sexy (physically & the way she carries herself). I see her a bit trying hard. :P

Hey Emily!
You seem to have a good measure of her...lol. Well, things work a li'l different in South. As long as you show a lot of skin you are considered glamorous. I know it's pathetic, but sadly true. If it were up to me I would banish her from the movie scene completely...lol.

Well, that explains. I've read from some sites that Namitha is a good actress (set aside the clothes XD). Is that true?

Well Emily, that is a difficult one to answer as it is very subjective. But, personally I don't find her exceptionally talented. There are tons of other better actresses there and she seems to be more of a pin-up doll. Of course, this is just my personal view.
